Remarkably well researched and unbelievably brave this feature demonstrates the real impact of China's smog. It illustrates the depth of sacrifices that have been made to bring the masses out of poverty and how the environment and our children will be left to pay the debt.

In the quest to continue the upward journey the policies and subsidies advanced by the government that defy logic and warp market forces are having perverse effects on the natural surroundings resulting in dramatic deterioration in the quality of the air we breathe.

Even more amazing is that viewing on from a western perspective one is expecting to see show challenging reporting from a Chinese journalist living and working in China. Chai Jing I applaud you. You have self financed a brilliant piece of work and used the internet to distribute it freely that it may be of service to China and the world. Let's hope this information spreads widely and the video becomes even more viral.
